ABOUT

Mission

We strive to provide technology solutions for the educational, communication, daily living and workplace challenges experienced by people of all ages and abilities. ALLTECH supports the identification and utilization of technology to enable individuals to lead full and independent lives.

History

Founded with the University of Maine in the late 1980s, ALLTECH has evolved through several state, regional, and federal initiatives into a nationally recognized center that provides equipment resources, demonstration and instruction, consultation, and technical assistance.

Since its inception, ALLTECH has partnered with schools, service agencies, local corporations, and state agencies to support those who require technology for learning, living, and working.

Spurwink acquired ALLTECH in 2009. Spurwink is a non-profit social services agency that provides behavioral and educational support to consumers from preschool to adulthood across various program throughout Maine.

Currently located in Portland, Maine, ALLTECH accepts a wide variety of durable medical equipment (DME) donations that are then cleaned, sanitized, and offered for reuse sales and loan. We also maintain a catalogue of of assistive technology devices that can be browsed and borrowed at no-cost with the AT4Maine library operated by Maine CITE.

ALLTECH is proud to be supported in part by Maine CITE and the Department of Health and Human Services. This ongoing partnership is essential to provide our services.

Staff

Our staff are excited about the hope technology provides and are constantly searching for new and innovative solutions to support our consumers.
