MAINECARE WAIVER SERVICES
ALLTECH is pleased to provide Assistive Technology (AT) Assessments to individuals under MaineCare Waiver Sections 21 and 29 in the areas of communication, computer access, and access to technology. Assessments are geared toward supporting independence in the home and community environments. Services could include assessment, acquisition of technology, training and on-going support.
A typical adaptive technology assessment for Section 21 and 29 waiver consumers includes:
- Record review (prior to meeting consumer/student)
- Client/Team meeting
- Device/strategy trials
- Written Report
Additional services could include (based on individual consumer needs):
- Equipment/technology purchase
- Training of technology recommended
MaineCare waiver assistive technology assessments are conducted out of ALLTECH’s Portland office. To streamline the process and to make accessing hardware/software trials more convenient, we attempt to conduct the assessment at that location.
In addition to supporting consumers with MaineCare Section 21 and 29 funding, ALLTECH is able to provide support to those using the Homeward Bound funding source.
